Restoration of 30 years of browser art. Browser art conservation, technical development, and catalogue author.

Role: Browser art conservation, technical development, catalogue author

About the Exhibition

Choose Your Filter! presents 30 years of browser-based art from the 1990s to the 2020s at ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe (February 1 - August 24, 2025). The exhibition showcases restored works that were considered permanently lost due to technological change — Flash, Java Applets, Shockwave, and other obsolete web technologies. Among the featured works, Eden.Garden by Entropy8Zuper! (Auriea Harvey & Michaël Samyn) was selected for Rhizome World in New York City (April 2025).

My Role

  • Browser art conservation — restoring works dependent on obsolete technologies (Flash, Java Applets, Shockwave, historical browsers like Internet Explorer 4/8)
  • Technical development — building the technical infrastructure for presenting the restored works in the exhibition
  • Catalogue author — contributing to the exhibition catalogue on the technical aspects of conservation
