Eden.Garden
Restoration of the web art work by Entropy8Zuper! (Auriea Harvey & Michaël Samyn). Featured at Rhizome World NYC.
Role: Software restoration
About the Project
Eden.Garden is a web art work by Entropy8Zuper! (Auriea Harvey & Michaël Samyn), created in 2001. It was no longer accessible because it depended on obsolete browser technologies and web standards that no longer exist.
Restoration
The software restoration involved recreating the web environment of around 2001 needed for the work to function, recovering the original interaction mechanisms and visual elements in a contemporary technical context. The restored work was featured at Rhizome World in New York City (2025).
Context
The restoration was part of the Choose Your Filter! exhibition at ZKM (February 1 – August 24, 2025), which developed from two KIT (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) research projects on internet art.
